Ecobed can be used with shavings or for best advantage, on its own or with rubber mats.

• Muck out the stable
• Use Ecobed to make a firm bed and bank up the sides. Use 6-8 bales in a 12 x 12ft box.
• When 'mucking-out', throw the 'muck' up against the wall using a shavings fork. The muck and bedding will then separate, allowing for easy removal of the droppings.
• To remove wet bedding, throw all the dry bedding up against the walls until you reach the wet beneath. Remove this, and any small particles such as food, hay, and small bits of droppings, as this will help maintain a fresh bed and reduce further the risk of dust. Add extra Ecobed as required.
• To aerate and fluff-up, toss the bedding about with a shavings fork.
• The amount of Ecobed used will depend on the

  • bedding depth required
  • if the stable is occupied all day
  • cleanliness of the horse
  • frequency of mucking out
